Afternoon in Santorini

Hey guys! Menswear Fashion Week 2015 is under way. I wanted to show you this casual outfit that 69 Park Ave GQ has available there. When I saw this outfit, I thought it would be great for a beach/coastal look. To pair with this outfit, I set up this ocean side scene with products from Kaerri and Little Branch.

Kaerri has two new items recently released at her store. The Altana Gazebo is an amazing piece of architecture that would make for a great back yard gathering place. Find this gazebo set at the Kaerri mainstore for a discounted price of L$999 for this week. You can purchase the items separately also. I have surrounded the gazebo in my scene with these lemon trees from Little Branch. The great thing about these trees are that you aren't limited to them just being lemon trees. From the menu, you can change between three different fruit types: lemon, orange, and lime. These trees are at the Shiny Shabby event until April 15th. The second item from Kaerri is the Hanging Teardrop Chair set. It was just too good not to add into my scene. It fit nicely nestled into the trees just outside of the gazebo. A nice place to relax and listen to the waves behind you. This chair set is also avaiable at the Kaerri mainstore.

New Kid on the Block

Hi, I'm Lucky and I am going to be your tour guide during this series of blog post featuring a new place opening soon in Second Life. Before we get started with this tour, let me tell you a little about this suit I am wearing. This red striped suit is an excellent creation by Mishmash Fusion. I think its a great choice to showcase this awesome place in this opening post. Guys, you can find this suit in an additional side hunt maze for the Twisted Hunt (runs till April 5th) at the Mishmash Fusion mainstore. To find the maze, head to the east side of the courtyard and walk into the blue TARDIS console (phone booth). There are gifts for both the guys and ladies in this maze. Ladies, drag your guy along with you on this hunt, even if he hates hunts, because he won't want to pass this suit up. Okay, now that you've picked up your gifts, lets get on with the tour.

So, what is this place you might ask? Well now, you're in for a big surprise aren't you. Think of a new living experience in Second Life built upon the idea of bringing you luxury living at affordable prices. With the help of one of Second Life's most well known designers, they have successfully managed to put together a city made entirely of mesh components. Now if that don't tell ya something, then I don't know what will. You've got a management team focused on giving you a wonderful living experience while at the same time keeping that living experience up-to-date with Second Life's technological advances. I know, I know, "Lucky, come on, just tell me what this place is called so I can go see it finally!" <insert drumroll here>

I'd like to introduce you to Vega City. Vega City is the idea of Ggio Vega. "It's kind of my way of making a statement. Second Life can still be an enjoyable place with standards." says Ggio. Ggio Vega is the Vega City Director and CEO. He with the help of Kaerri Rae of Kaerri Designs have managed to put together this completely mesh city making its Grand Opening on March 28th. There are a lot of things to do and a lot of things to feature for this awesome city, so I want to break it all up into a series of blog posts. In this post, I want to feature the shopping area.

Conveniently located in the center of the city, you will find the shopping square. There are ten different shops here packed with quality items. Check out the list of designers as of March 25th:

The shops feature items ranging from apparel to jewelry to home & garden, so you've got a good range of things to choose from.

So you've been shopping for a good while now, right? Why not take a break at the patio bar? It's not too far of a walk from the far end of the square, so sit back, relax, and grab a drink. When you're all done, just head back over to the shops and pick back up where you left off.

As you can see, there's plenty to do in just the shopping square alone. Now, the shopping experience isn't the main focus of Vega City, but it is a perk. Stay tuned for future posts as I will focus on the living experience next. In the meantime, feel free to check out the following from Vega City:

Seaside Living

It's really exciting when I get the rare chance to go to the beach in my real life. Living in Texas, you'd probably think I'd get to go more often since we have Padre Island, a popular spring break destination. Considering I live in the northern part of the state though, its just not something that I am able to do often. This is what makes Second Life so great. I can visit the beach any time I want.

While we're on the subject of the beach, I want to show you this awesome furniture set from [CIRCA] Living. I want to apologize for being so late about featuring this set, because it was a part of the Color Me Project for only 10 days with March 19th being the last day. Some good news though! This set will be on sale at the [CIRCA] mainstore 50% off from the 20th through the 24th of March - regular price after that. The Ocean Loft furniture set makes for a great addition to your beach home. The blueish colors are very serene. Sit in these chairs on a warm summer evening reading a book by the candlelight and listen to the waves breaking on the beach - you've got it made.

I've decided to pair the Ocean Loft set with these potted plants from Little Branch. These plants will be at The Black Dot Project until April 4th. These plants are great and add a nice touch to this coastal scene. They are 100% mesh and make use of Materials (Bump and Specular).

The Lucky Charm

St. Patrick's Day is getting closer, so I thought I'd do a St. Patrick's themed post today. I've never really gotten into Gachas, but I decided to try some out at The Luck of the Irish Gacha the other day. There are lots of items to take a chance at, but my main target going in was this hair by Damselfly. I am using a hair color from the rare mixed pack in these pictures but the hat color is one that is in both the common and rare version.

The outfit featured here is by 69 Park Ave GQ. It's a charming formal suit in the color green; perfect for St. Patrick's day. Wear this and for sure you wont be getting pinched for not wearing green. Acoustic Dreams

Hey everyone! I've got some things from a few different designers here. This scene was really fun to put together and came out better than I was hoping. Here's the list of what we have going on in this scene:
